Our lady light moves into Pisces, connecting immediately in an opposition with retrograde Sisyphus in Virgo, and you feel pushed away from where you want to be, or return to feeling clouded about recently gained clarity. Remember, Sisyphus is the going around in circles process, the bashing your head against a brick wall and gain through manipulation or false pretense. But retrograde, this is not happening to you and you’re not doing it to anyone else. The only person involved in this Sisyphus process is you, and your holding onto the past. As we discussed yesterday, connect internally and detach externally – just refuse to have expectations. In uncomfortable aspect to both Saturn and Mars, the emotional Moon makes it difficult to maintain the present balance as it is uncertain if the present is where it wants to be. Don’t panic, it is just your Pisces bits having a great, big sigh – tired, bored, considering all the greater things it could have been in life and how pathetic everything is in the present. Let the mind drift off to where the heart wants to lead it, give Neptune his time – just don’t take it too seriously at the moment.
Later, as the Moon sextiles Pluto, there is a strong emotional front on the horizon. This can be just what is needed to clear the air, create a masterpiece, or curl up with your fave cushion and watch something mooshy. Whatever and however it plays out for you, you will be feeling it. There is barely any other element in this chart, only water, lots and lots of water. Just go with it, release any pent up sadness with a who cares who sees me down sort of attitude, sit alone staring into space, tune out with the ipod, sleep all day -whatever it takes to connect you to you, give up the tough, hard as nails facade and release. xo
The Moon finally scoots past Bacchus and Lilith, giving you room to breathe, loosening the knuckle whitening grip on anger for just a touch. Connecting with Neptune and Chiron, you have the ability to leap those tall buildings of emotional angst in a single bound, if you choose to – or psychoanalyze something to the point of lunacy. I really love what Auntie Moon wrote in her recent article about the Moon in Aquarius being akin to the Buddhist ideal of not being attached to an outcome. That is so truly profound and much of what the Aquarius power over the emotional mindset ’should’ entail. With Chiron in the mix, you have the personal emotional wound seeking some level of detachment and healing – leading into the New Moon, it is on the deepest level possible. Logic IS on your side as is the ability to move on, with closure, from any emotional storm that has been eating you away inside.
Sometimes, the solution really is that simple – it is all in letting go of the expectation.
PS: Aussies and Southern Hemisphere poppets. The Dailies are written more or less to cover morning to morning but please read yesterdays influence, as you carry Lilith and Bacchus with you for most of the day. However, you DO have ^^^^^^ this influence starting from 6pm’ish – time zone dependent, so can have a chilled out, NICE sort of evening in this mix. Not a great plan to wipe yourself over lunchtime as you could really wind up those emotions unnecessarily for the evening hours which have their own version of emotional relief. Be cruisy, you know, Bacchus is not just all about the boozey, blithery escape – all he wants is for you to be happy and he is naturally upbeat, lightening this entire bleh feeling. What you do with him is entirely up to you. Happy Saturday xo

The week begins with the New Moon in Pisces and emotional security is rocked and a determined approach becomes uncertain. Where there was a strong push for movement, there is now a complete loss of direction. Mercury in Pisces is active and pliable, an open vessel awaiting your direction. Nice, sweet even in theory, but with the recent cosmos, this is where the process of change begins and decisions made taint the next few months, at the very least. Connecting with the Sun, conversations become less surface level and are more in-depth. It is a touch one sided though. You’re tired of listening and being the support network for others and are adamant that your opinion is just as important as the self-focus of everyone else. Your needs are paramount here, at least the ones you have managed to pluck out of the recent confusion. Little will change your mind once it is made and when the Sun forms a conjunction with Uranus, expect radical alteration and unexpected surprises. Not necessarily from the external, but from within.
Mercury enters Aries on the 18th of March and immediately connects with Saturn in Libra. Thoughts can meander to the past and the change process slows down yet again. Here, insecurity rares its ugly head and old fears reappear. This aspect is a blessing in disguise, even if it doesn’t feel as such at the time. With the Sun exploring the last few degrees of Pisces and separating from his connection with Uranus, hesitation and taking a moment to reconsider present desires – can slow down or even bring to a halt a possible leap forward that isn’t in your long term better interest. Mark this day down as one to listen to your doubts and separate what is justified warning and old fear baggage.
When the Sun and Mars connect with a trine on the 20th of March, your confidence returns, you’re determined to lead and keen to find the positive path to achievement. But with the impending opposition to Saturn, this push/pull of move forward/slow down – is more frustration on an already stressed out, fed up, impatient mindset. Mercury oppose Saturn separates the same day as the Sun enters Aries – just in time for Mercury to square Pluto. The challenge here is to maintain positivity, keep the communications civil and to keep your heart open to those around you.
It’s a tough week as you work your way through the deeper messages implanted by the Aquarius/Pisces intensity. Solutions are not instant and patience is paramount. However, March does end on a positive note, actually, the last weekend is just lovely. So hang in there and we will baby step your way through with in-depth dailies as we plod along, gritted teeth and kleenex in tow. xoxo
It begins. The internal/external/power play/conflict/emotional upswing/downswing that leads us into the New Moon. Laughter echoes one minute, tears are hidden the next. Asteroid Lilith retrograde moves in to conjunct the Sun, highlighting life areas where you feel taken for granted and ignored. This last few weeks of disconnection has built up certain levels of resentment and with Mars moving an inch, the desire to regain empowerment begins to grow. Black Moon Lilith experiences a conjunction with Bacchus and the desire for happiness is not just a drive, it’s a demand. Except Bacchus, the sweet God of wine who just wants the stress to go away, is not the best vessel for Black Moon Lilith’s message. Take it easy with the vices. Conflict comes easily today as does emotional waves of sadness, feelings of loss and extreme moments of hilarity. Look for healthy and natural ways to find peace and contentment as it will be very easy to break the excess barrier, lash out, and wind up with more than hangover regret. Do whatever you can to keep some semblance of sanity to the day.
Our lady light leaves us alone, except for tomorrow, when she also joins Black Moon Lilith and Bacchus. The emotional detachment that was keeping us grounded to a certain extent is gone. Venus squares Pluto exact, further firing up the rebellious flames of internal conflict. What you want and where that lacks is the topic in the minds-eye, but really, despite whatever the ‘other party/ies’ involved might or might not be doing to exacerbate the situation – what are YOU doing to alter the circumstance? Remember, this cycle is in Pisces. Regardless of the external situation, everything of the moment is between you and ‘you know who, whomever that may be for you’ and being honest with the internal message.
Lashing out is going to be the natural instinct for the next few days, as is wallowing about in self pity or soaking in a tub full of excess. Do whatever it is that you will do but remember that at the core of the angst, there is something that you can change/alter/ adapt within yourself that will improve the entire circumstance.
It’s a strong end to the lunar phase year, filled to the brim with anticipation of what is going to come next. You have gathered much on your journey through the last twelve New Moon cycles and planted many new seeds in the hope of blossoming prosperity. There have been levels of success; but there have also been times of disappointment – times when you have woken to the Full Moon, only to find that growth has stalled, or completely withered into nothingness. More often than not, the last year raised questions that escaped a response, whilst surprising doors were opened when least expected. It has been a confusing and often bewildering ride where safety and long term survival were challenged at every step. Your heart is heavy and your mind is tired – but there is a fire building internally, a simmering pit of desire, full of uplifting and inspiring potential, just waiting to be unleashed.
The Pisces New Moon sits at 25 degrees, conjunct Mercury and Uranus. Here, Uranus compels you to find some level of isolation. It is really important that you connect with your own inner wisdom here and it will be near to impossible to do if you are around noisy, interactive environments. Ideas are ahead of their time, insight is intense, and creative flow is off the radar. Panacea, the asteroid of finding the long term solution, is retrograde and conjunct Mercury. The solution lies within. You have the answer, the information is all there; all you have to do is connect to it.
Chiron begins to separate from his conjunction with Neptune. In effect, this will be powerful as it has been such a subliminal influence in effect. Spots of trouble that need healing, should begin to come out of the shadows, or alternatively, you find the strength to finally let go of something (or someone) who is doing you more harm than good. Klotho, the Fate who begins the process of life sits conjunct Chiron. This is a brand new beginning regarding sense of purpose and sharing with the collective. Atropos retrograde works hard beside a now moving Mars, stripping away at the ego, finalising in the mind situations of lingering anger. Where there is no hope, there is an ending. Go with it.
Proserpina conjunct Neptune indicates that the situation of the moment is not romantic, it is serious business. Neptune is driving this New Moon and areas of your life that have been guided by romantic emptiness, fall short and will collapse with the Aries uprise. You have no control over this and it is a cleansing of what the skies have been really trying to drill into you – adhere to true passion and exploit your natural talents only. Ceres sits at the last degree of Sagittarius, preparing to enter Capricorn, where she will connect with Pluto and ultimately, they will both retrograde dance together for a while – rehashing areas of life where there has been empty effort and manipulation in goal achievement. There is no love lost between these two and it will get possessive and messy where the intention has been below the belt or way off base.
The days leading into the New Moon are full of hurdles, pockets of insecurity and surface desire that can offset the positive and long term growth potential entwined in this cycle. Icarus, the asteroid of ignoring direction, Hera, the asteroid of vengeful retribution rather than own the truth and Hebe, the asteroid of immaturity and submission – all conjunct Hygeia, the asteroid Goddess of balance and good health. Immature, knee jerk reactions or acting out of spite can spiral you out of control – as can being on the receiving end of this possibility. This is highly probable with Proserpina conjunct Neptune, so be aware of it and only take on board your responsibility in certain matters, and don’t absorb someone elses. Jupiter is also not immune to tempting you during this phase. Amor, the God of attraction, instant romantic gratification and the feeling of destiny regarding love is conjunct Jupiter. His other namesakes also play out in this cycle. Eros is conjunct Sedna and Cupido is conjunct the South Node. Psyche, the object of his affections, opposes Saturn – with Persephone and Tisiphone pushing the point of hidden needs. It is your choice on whether you choose the fleeting, the beautiful, the moment of instant satisfaction – or wait, prepared to do the hard work as you meander through the process to reaching a deeper, more meaningful, and less dramatic circumstance. Finally, asteroid Lilith is retrograde and conjunct the Sun and Mercury. In the worlds of love, passion and relationship connections, this really is a confusing, internal mess on what to fight for, and what to let slide. Be patient with yourself, give it time, another key element of heavy Neptune influences, and allow the New Moon to work her magic.
It’s a difficult, yet beautiful cycle. Much of it is introverted, remaining in the dark and words like faith, insight, intuition, and patience – have little credence when your insides are screaming for definite answers on what direction to take. For those of you who have decided on a set path and are chomping at the bit to get busy, it is just pure frustration that there is MORE navel-gazing to be had and treading of water. Take it on the chin and use this time to push beyond that lack of patience and listen during the quiet of the New Moon. Just when you ‘think’ you have it all sorted or that you are completely lost, there is always, always more information to come, always something else to say goodbye to.
It’s the Dark Moon phase and the last few days of the waning cycle before we experience the Pisces New Moon. In the world of the mystical, the spiritual and the just plain, ‘I want my life to be full of awesomeness’ – this is the time of quiet retrospection and shedding of smothering negativity. With our lady light enjoying the last of her Capricorn influence, she connects with a sextile to Uranus, encouraging original ideas and a unique approach. Mars is stationary direct, staring right into the individuated light or the Aquarius Moon, conjunct Atropos – insisting that you cut away loose ends and any drowning chains from the past. Saturn too, is in this party, forming a trine with the Moon. Here, there is strength, confidence and determination to get the job done. Psyche and Diana have lost connection with Venus, but still oppose Saturn – bringing more required discipline to their intention. If you were wandering around yesterday, lack luster and a bit lost for direction, today is still a heavy day, but with a stronger sense of purpose. Persephone jumps onto the Aries Point, full of hidden knowledge after delving into your secret self and her tour of Pisces – but joined by Tisiphone, she’s a bit pissed off! Forming a trine to stationary Mars and Atropos, this IS a volatile mix. Add this to the Venus/Pluto square and you have a productive day for some, and edgy potential for others.
Some of you will be snappy, irritated when your space or concentration is disrupted – whilst others are going to be a walking time bomb! Persephone and Tisisphone are moving into oppose Saturn, which is a blessing, but until then, it is a curse for those who have been downtrodden and feeling smashed with the recent skies. It can be a trigger that no one needs, however, for those who have been trapped in Loserville with the head loser, it’s a fine energy to escape – and permanently.
Use the Aquarius emotional aloofness to disentangle yourself from the tacky with as little dramatics as possible. If you hear the tick of another’s frustrations reaching a feverish pitch, don’t poke them to see what will happen – run away and give them room to implode! Take this next few days as a pro-active opportunity to find answers to past unresolved issues, consider alternative possibilities regarding the future and provide your emotional self with rational solutions to irrational fears. Mars is gearing up to get to work for you, make sure he is able to start off on a positive note – not stuck behind the eight ball in an unnecessary drama.
Venus in Aries moves into direct square with Pluto. Here, there are strong desires, especially regarding sex and career motivation – and moderation is the key. It can be difficult to stay on ‘the good path’ as sensual Venus challenges the ‘dark side’ to show her his best. With the Capricorn Moon experiencing a conjunction with Hopi – aims are based on hope alone with little practicality at their core, but adds an overall ‘peace and happiness’ vibe to what is generally a fairly sad sort of lunar phase. You need to be careful where you focus as you can easily be flattened by handing over all of your power to an overly dominant individual.
Hopi is not the only lunar conjunction today. Cupido also connects with the Moon, further emphasizing the surface attraction of the energy. With Circe also in aspect – there is an acknowledgement of the truth and a choice to be made, with a tinge of magic in the air. Some of you will throw caution to the wind and master some plan of manipulation to achieve– whilst others will keep plodding along, knowing that their time will come. Diana and Psyche conjunct Venus, remind you that there are bigger forces at play and a process to be followed. Keep that in mind if temptation proves too enticing.
PS: I am back on deck re: writing the dailies fresh in the morning and also regards personal consults. Last week was operation success but this weeks ideal of painting the kitchen is not unfolding as expected. So, I will take the remaining four days, tuck them up my sleeve and save them for a more conducive time, no doubt when the Aries hubby has a break and we can accomplish it together. Thanks for your patience and as much as the pre-written articles are cool, I prefer to vibe into the day, so am happy to be typing-tied over my morning coffee!
In your natal chart, planets or luminaries posited from the 29th – 1st degree are ignited, especially when positioned in a Cardinal sign. The 29th degree, or the anaretic degree is no doubt feeling it the harshest. The planet, luminary, asteroid or centaur is tired and packing a lot of energy into it’s final effort to express the influences of the sign position.
Saturn in Libra has already moved over the ‘relationship interaction’ point regarding who is in your life – work and love- assessing what you want from these connections in the long term. Enemies and lovers have been exposed for their true worth and there is a complete evaluation of the natal 7th House. In retrograde, Saturn presently sits at 2 degrees Libra, and will return to agitating the Aries Point on the 13th of March.
Mars in Leo, retrograde, has been stationed at 0 degrees Leo, agitating the Aries Point with a trine since the 23rd of February – and will continue to do so until the end of March. With Mars retrograde, there has been frustration, lethargy, lack of motivation and a loss of overall drive. Mars has also been ‘exciting’ the Libra 0 degrees relationships hot spot with a sextile – lack of patience, misunderstandings, feelings of distance within present connections, pressure for commitment, rehashing old concerns with friends, lovers and foes, and confusion about what and who to do next due to Saturn’s input – have all been active expressions of recent Mars.
Pluto has eased off the Aries Point at the moment, sitting smugly at 5 degrees waiting for Saturn to catch up. No doubt content with his efforts of mass destruction since his original contact with 0 degrees hot spot Capricorn from December 2007, until November 2009. Relationship skins that were shed during that period are highly unlikely to return and the rebuilding process begins!
You will start to feel the effects of Uranus nearing the actual Aries Point in May this year, when he reaches the 29th anaretic degree in Pisces. Here, there will be fatigue in spiritual expression and a restlessness to go BIGGER than ever before. Insight is one thing, a great thing, but it isn’t a tangible substance and Uranus wants something to reform and make his own. Perhaps you are already feeling the desire to pull away from deep reflection and the dire need to bring about active events that are fresh and invigorating. This will intensify when Uranus turns retrograde at 0 degrees Aries and heads over the same old spot once again. From July 11th to August 12th, is when the Saturn/Uranus opposition will be most strongly felt. There will be the strong push for action and intense shove to slow down.
As if 2009 and things thus far have not been enough to send an angel potty! However, Pluto has demolished the rickety foundations and this Saturn and Uranus opposition will work together, fighting the whole way of course, in rebuilding a stunning new abode. Keep the faith and be amazed on later reflection at just how far you have come regards letting go of useless past emotional hangups and how brave you have been in taking these giant leaps forward into what is such unknown territory at the moment.
Now the Aries Point is toted as being this Sun/Earth Node – where your inner self greets the greater collective with a big bang. With all of this agitation, your entire public persona, relationship interaction process and what-am-i-going-to-be-when-i-grow-up is banging away like an out of tune Brazilian drummer. With so much emphasis in Pisces right now, don’t feel bad if you lack total direction at the moment – or have lingering doubts even when confident that you are on the right path. That is what Pisces is ALL about – the limitless unknown. It is doing its job, keeping you insecure, forcing you to rely on instinct on one hand with Jupiter and the Sun – and common practicality with Pluto and Saturn’s influence. All you need is a little bit more time and patience. The action is definitely coming.
We have already discussed asteroid Niobe and her lengthy station at the 0 degrees Cancer point. Here, natural talent, arrogance levels and ego reaction have all been under the microscope. Apart from Pluto smashing the unsuitable to the curb, and Saturn dissecting the finer details of compatibility – there has been this heightened focus on self operation within the collective. There have been lessons to be learned and experience gained simply by daily interaction. Behaviors that you find unsuitable, you have recognized in yourself and hopefully altered, and opted out of ego competitive environments, preferring to mingle with those of a similar mindset and life approach.
Venus has entered Aries, bouncing up and down on the already stressed Aries point – bringing along Psyche and Diana for the ride. As we have discussed, Psyche is the process to achieve the end goal, whilst Diana is our personal, withdrawn, sacred place, the higher guidance within that is now active, pushing us along. Thanks to Jamie Funk for bringing to my attention that Atropos is presently conjunct Mars in Leo, which can become a mass stripping away at the ego and the superficial. This is a very productive conjunction as long as the intent is solid and the approach is fair. Always keep in mind when Venus/Mercury and Mars are involved that the ‘blame game’ is an easy scape goat. Keep it all above board to receive the utmost cleansing benefit.
Now tomorrow, Mars is stationary direct as asteroid Atropos turns retrograde – turning that ‘ego causing ending’ potential inwards and begins to shred away at what could be some quite volatile, knee jerk reactions. Also, you will find it much easier to toss over your shoulder empty dreams and aspirations, events, situations and individuals that have outlived their due by date. Asteroid Klotho, the energy of inspiration and attraction, moves in to conjunct Neptune in Aquarius. Here you have some amazing new idea or concept heading your way and Lachesis sits in Scorpio forming a trine to the Sun! Passion, passion, passion – what is true to you, your ideals and where your natural talents lie. It is all about propelling you out of the cave of fear, encouraging you to cut loose the ‘I can’t’s’, the blame games, the paralytic fear that Pluto and Saturn just LOVE to instill. By keeping a sane, and educated head on your shoulders, by keeping it real, reminding yourself that the times you ask too many questions – the answer is always no, and trusting the gut instinct bellowing yes – you’re creating your new world. Which is exactly what Uranus in Aries wants you to do xo
Asteroid 97 Klotho is a main belt asteroid, discovered on February 17th, 1868 by (an Aquarius) by Ernst Wilhelm Tempel, spending four and a half months in each sign – retrograde and orbit dependent.
LACHESIS
Asteroid 120 Lachesis is a large and very dark, main belt asteroid, discovered on April 10, 1872 (an Aries) by Alphonse Borrelly. She takes over five and a half years to orbit the Sun, spending just under six months in each sign – retrograde and orbit dependent.
ATROPOS
Asteroid 273 Atropos is a main belt asteroid that astronomer’s know very little about. She was discovered on March 8th, 1888 (a Pisces) by Johann Palisa and takes just over three and a half years to orbit the Sun, spending just over three and a half months in each sign – retrograde and orbit dependent.
MYTHOLOGY
The Fates, or Moirae, in Ancient Greek mythology, were white robed beings in control of human destiny. Their intent and role was so powerful, even the Gods and Goddesses feared them. Their parental line is uncertain, with claims that they were the daughters of Zeus, or that of Nyx, the shadowy figure near the beginning of creation. But at the very least – they were entities whom Zeus revered and whose knowledge he was informed. It is stated that they would visit new born children seven days after birth, and ‘spin the threads of their fate’. The Moirae were depicted as bitter, old crones – deemed cold, aloof and acting without remorse.
KLOTHO – had a large role in Greek mythology. She was responsible for spinning the web of life. It was she who determined when one was born and everything relevant to the actual birth of an individual. Whilst she had no control over ‘who’ was born, her responsibilities extended to deciding who would be saved, or put to death in the mortal, and immortal world. She and her sisters, along with Hermes, were also responsible for the development of the alphabet in ancient times.
LACHESIS – the second of the Fates was the decider of the ‘length’ of one’s life.
ATROPOS – was the eldest of the Moirae and determined the ‘death’ of the individual. Here, she would severe the thread of life with her shears and was described as the ‘inflexible’ or the ‘inevitable’.
ASTROLOGY
To locate the asteroids Atropos, Klotho and Lachesis, head over to astro.com and input their numbers in the additional objects field. Keep the aspects major – conjunction, square, opposition and trine, if it vibes for you – and your orbs tight, within 1 degree.
These asteroids represent the birth of an event or relationship, the duration and the closure in transit. In your natal chart, these would be interesting asteroids to unravel and see how their influence interplays with life situations as they have unfolded. Rulership and house placement of the asteroids themselves is an essential detail in deciphering their possible meaning and projection/expression.
Klotho positioning indicates inspiration and attraction, no doubt the house where major life seeds that have long term impact begin. Aspects to Klotho in the natal chart indicate a difficulty and hesitancy in starting new projects or relationships. This will also happen when Klotho is activated by transit; the usual go-getter can experience unexplainable resistance to what is usually a normal process.
Lachesis indicates how you will plant the seed and whatever hurdles need to be surmounted, or will be thrust upon you on the path to producing a fruitful crop. Natal aspects to Lachesis highlight areas where you will continually hit a brick wall and often fail due to a complete lack of understanding in why. Here, house positioning and relation of the planet in aspect is key to working with Lachesis. For instance, Lachesis oppose harsh aspect to Venus can indicate low self esteem and confidence being a constant enemy to progress – or – a harsh aspect to Mars can indicate a heavy, aggressive approach that fails to deliver in the long term. Yet again, in transit, activated Lachesis can bring to the surface unusual forms of behaviour and expression of mood. Understanding the source is the penny drop moment.
Atropos indicates the ‘death zone’ – the area in the natal chart where the crop starts to whither and eventually fade into nothingness. For example:- a 3rd House Atropos indicates that endings come through communication dramatics, within the closer environment, or through a lack of knowledge depth. An 8th House Atropos indicates that some level of abuse or co-dependency concern brings about closure – or a 2nd House Atropos, where feelings about self cause an undoing. Understanding and accepting one’s Atropos will assist the long term longevity regarding relations and projects.
As the mythology states, the Fates wove the threads of destiny and fate. In your natal chart, they will highlight certain dispositions and in transit, these personality expressions will be exposed. Just as we accept and work with the harsher elements of our charts and the shadow side of our personalities, so too can we work with our ‘fate’. With understanding and acceptance, what could be deemed a ‘fated’ downfall, can in fact be one’s great strength.
The Moon moves into Capricorn and immediately connects with the Saturn/Pluto energy. With Venus now in opposition to Saturn and the lunar influence residing in a more ‘insecure’ place, the flowing exuberance of yesterday comes to a shuddering halt. Questions about authenticity are raised and doubts in self start to appear. Ceres in Sagittarius pushes for high hopes but opposing Hades in Gemini, the surface visuals provided with ‘hope’ seem vague, even unrealistic. Ceres pushes deeper for more info, but if that isn’t forthcoming, depression is an easy state to find. Things are still not moving fast enough. Psyche and Diana conjunct Venus and oppose Saturn, encourage you to keep to the process that ensures your survival and maintain faith in your intuition when you just ‘know’ you are on the right path, regardless of surface negative feedback.
Tomorrow, is a heavy sky – mostly to do with self-confidence. Make a mini plan of action to keep yourself productive and busy xo
